Why didn't turf take off in Korea?

I've been doing some field studies in Korea the last couple of days and I got a pretty good idea why turf hasn't become anything here. 1. The maps are crap, no roads are marked out and the images are really crappy. This in combination with that Seoul is built up narrow alleys with a lot of dead ends...

Re: Spreading the game...

Great that you want to help spreading it! I'm working on it in Japan. You can find posters in this thread: https://forum.turfgame.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=3874&p=43197&hilit=poster#p43197 For zones suggestions I think the best way is by suggesting them in the correct section in this forum. Here's an ...

No blocking when taking a zone for the first time?

If we divide turfing sloppily into two parts, one is competitive and one is the explorative. My guess is that most of the competitive turfing is focused around taking a route over and over again to maximize the pph, you would not go and take unique zones that much as it's highly ineffecient. When yo...

Giresta kyrka

Jag skulle föreslå att en zon placeras ut vid Giresta kyrka, på följande koordinater. Även inlagd som Turntown i förslagvia appen.
Latitude: 59.72361 | Longitude: 17.34615

Preparation for GDC

March 14-18 there is a huge conference in San Francisco where pretty much all the game developers and gamers (20-30,000 people) in the world gather. The event takes place at Moscone Center. I think this is a great opportunity for turf to start spreading. First of it would be great if a zone could be...

Re: The daily challenge

I agree to some degree, I don't think the challenge has to be done within a day. You could have unlimited time to complete a challenge. You could have the option to cancel the current challenge, next day you would get a new challenge. But I don't think you can cover everything with a system like thi...

Re: New zones and limit on number of zones

Ah, the old argument manual is always better than automatic. Keep in mind that most of the gameplay in turf comes out of player behaviours. An automatic distribution of the zone could change up the playing field, which also means that player behaviours would change. There are plenty of great games t...

Re: The daily challenge

Agreed, I think medals are crucial for this feature to be really interesting. I put this in the initial suggestion. The thought is that these challenges would accumulate to a unique set of medals that only can be achieved through completing challenges. Placeholder named medals are: Challenge Complet...

Re: The daily challenge

I thought about this a bit more. I think the best approach is to just have an active challenge, wheneve you're done with one, you get a new one. This way you can play it fast or slow, whatever fits your needs. This would also open up for more types of challenges, such: - Get a number of revisits. - ...
