It would be great to have some more zones in the Derwent Valley, please.

At the end of last round I suggested three by the River Derwent on or near the Derwent Valley
Heritage Way long distance path: StockingFarm near Calver (SK246747), then running north CalverWeir (west side as not clearly visible from east) and FroggattBridge.

This round I suggested three more zones on the Longshaw Estate: LittleJnWell for Little John's Well on OS1:25000 at SK266794, LongshawPines for an attractive spot in a grove of Scots Pine trees at SK261786 and LongshawBrook at SK258793 for a zone including a stream and big path junction

Hello, very difficult to figure out where these suggestions are. Remember, we are not locals and we are using Google maps in satellite mode as basis for placing zones. We can't search for app suggestions or see who made them. Suggest using lat/long coordinates like in this suggestion: viewtopic.php?f=153&t=17286

Sorry, I thought the forum post was to backup app suggestions.

CalverWeir (west side) 53.2744,-1.6325
FroggattBridge at 53.2798,-1.6370 (path follows river bank from here to bridge, not straight line as on OS maps)

Longshaw:
LittleJnWell for Little John's Well at 53.3114,-1.6022
LongshawPines for an attractive spot in a grove of Scots Pine trees at 53.3043,-1.6083

Yes, but we can't search for app suggestions nor see who made them (and there are a lot accumulated over the years) . And we don't get a notification when they are made. I'll check it out during the week!

Thanks for the new zones, you've generously added a few more, including one in my village, a good guess.

There is more activity around my part of the Derwent Valley now, can you please add some more zones, all on interesting features, listed north to south:

a) Inclinetop 53.3091,-1.6292 By ruin of winch house at top of inclined plane used to lower stone from Lawrencefield Quarry down to the railway on the way to build the two upper Derwent dams.
b) InspectPipe 53.2803,1.6278 Access Chamber (now sealed) orginally used to inspect the Derwent Valley Aqueduct which takes water from the Derwent Dams to Nottingham and Derby.
c) CurbarBarrow 53.2768,-1.6192 "Curbar Edge round barrow, 18m diameter, c. 1.5m high, hollowed out as a result of excavation in 1913. Bronze dagger, burnt bones, food vessel and flint excavated. Much mutilated."
d) PsalmStone 53.2607,-1.6119 There are several bible stones in the road up to Curbar Gap, but this one is across the moor, inscribed "Psalm 73 1"(?), with "XV" underneath, looking like it was added later
e) LadiesWell 53.2521,-1.6142 Typical stone trough spring "well", marked on Ordnance Survey Map as Lady Wall Well (LadyWallWell a better Turf name, but I misremembered it when I suggested it) . Road just for agricultural field access.
f) JubileeRock 53.2436,-1.6047 Stone carved 1887 to celebrate Queen Victoria's golden jubilee
g) ChatsAqueduct 53.2269,-1.6032 Part of Paxtons' Chatsworth water works, a folly aqueduct that ends with a waterfall

I also support Linda’s suggestions, particularly Barrel, where one of our guest Ukrainian refugees is working (getting there by bike until the weather got cold). I’ve added co-ordinates, using using W3W batch converter::
1. Hollowford 53.348493,-1.7789
2. Quarrypath 53.337389,-1.754135
3. Quarry view 53.329169,-1.763656
4. Barrel 53.297879,-1.700591
5. Cogcopse 53.345286,-1.663029
5. Windmilllead 53.296693,-1.755575

Thanks for the zones added in March/April. Can we have a few more zones in the Peak District please?

Four to link BirchenEdge to nearby zones:
CupolaBridge, 53.257204 -1.599886 (OS SK 2679 7343) Bridge over Bar Brook by Cupola Cottage
ThreeMen, 53.251434 -1.594545 (OS SK 2715 7279) Three cairns on Gardom's Edge labelled on OS 1:25000 as Three Men. "Originally a Later Neolithic or Early Bronze Age round barrow this now consists of three piles of stones known as the Three Men of Gardom’s, which were placed there during the 18th century, supposedly commemorating the death of three shepherds in the snow.
GardomsEdge, 53.256108 -1.594500 (OS SK 2715 7331) A great viewpoint on the Edge
Companionship, 53.262412 -1.590048 (OS SK 27443 74013) One of a series of Companion Stones, an art project in 2010 with each stone neighbouring one of the medieval Guide Stoop stones

One to link to the BarBroook zones:
SandyfrdBrook, 53.271234 -1.602005 (OS SK 2664 7499) A bridge over Sandyford Brook on the path from Curbar/Baslow Edges to White Edge

And three more on the scenic Monsal Trail (thanks for the two new ones added in the summer):
AbseilBridge, 53.256593 -1.805742 (OS SK 13057 73305) A popular spot to take school-kids abseiling. The bridge is marked out with an abseil zone (visible on satellite image)
MillerDBridge, 53.255825 -1.792256 (OS SK 13957 73222) Another Monsal Trail bridge over the River Wye
WatercumJolly, 53.250515 -1.751126 (OS SK 16703 72640) A great view point over Water-cum-Jolly Dale
