So I covered some more of the zones today for clarification on that zone. The route is not very well signposted along there and it could be confusing for people not familiar (I went the wrong way too!).

FORDST (useful as it is a narrow/poorly signposted route, easy to miss & walk past). Very useful zone.

MUTTON (an easy miss, unsignedposted through the pub garden (legal right of way)). A zone here or around here would be good.

A nice area for a zone further west down the route (not essential but nice):

PILLBOX - a world war relic, can still go inside for the brave ones!

Many thanks

Hoping to make your lives a little easier, please tell me if it does (or doesn’t!).
I’ve included a link to a google map, showing the route & zone areas. So should a zone get added, I can remove it off the “wish list”, whilst still keeping the route viewable so Turfers can potentially use it as guidance or ZoneMakers can use it to see the intended route.

Over time I will add different layers for different areas around Essex - If you ever get short on ideas! I keep in touch with a few local players so I can add theirs to the mix too.

Hi, I just saw a couple of Turfers get shifted off the track (due to poor signage). There’s 2 zones on a map I’ve suggested as “TREEHOLE” & “PILLSPOTTER” which would help keep people on the correct course. They got there in the end, but I’m not sure there’s much of a footpath system once you come off the Essex Way there.

Hi, I have missed this one. As there has been other zone makers active, what is the current status?

If it is still an issue, please name an existing nearby zone instead, we can't search suggestions.

Thanks for not forgetting! Between COLNEARIVER & BART, 2 or 3 zones would be great (although it’s a mud bath at the moment, it may not get much activity until it dries out - it still forms per of the official long distance walking route).

Created the three, with a bit delayed implementation so it might dry up.
