Zone report Netherlands

Post by Stonecape »

While placing zones, areas that looks good are sometimes not. Satellite and/or streetview images could be old or the place might look like a common green area but might be a forbidden or bad area for some reason.

What is a bad zone?

A bad zone is a zone that is placed in a fenced or otherwise enclosed area. Also private gardens and such are places where there should be no zones. A bad zone could also be a zone that is hard to take due to GPS problems, for example next to high buildings. Furthermore, zones that can't be taken without obvious danger to the player are also bad zones. An example of a dangerous zone is when it is placed in a roundabout where there is no natural way to get to the zone.

Zones that are placed in distant areas, forests without walking paths, on top of hills or otherwise places just hard to get to are NOT bad zones but a part of the game.

HI, Rhijnazone in Utrecht can not be take.

I went there last saturday.
It's a monument and you can only get there with a guide.
That I did, but it is a fort, so when you get in, there is no GPS  .
And you can not get on top.

Hopefully in a better position for a working GPS, not sure if you need a guided tour or not now though.

Edit: suggestions where the zone can be placed instead is welcome. please update the first post with something about that StoneCape/Arias.

You will still need a guided tour (4 euro), but GPS will work now :-)

The whole fort is protected and you will need a guided tour (ones a week possible). But is is a great place to be!
I didn't know it was there before this game.

edit : crossing rhijnauwenselaan (street) and vossegatsdijk (street) is not a better place. This is just outside the enclosed zone

The next zone is inaccessible:

VrieseZone
Region: South Holland
Takeover points: 140
Points per hour: +4

I was there last Saturday, but there is no way of getting to it. Can't give any advise of where to change it to, since I don't know the area :)

Best regards,
Be

This Zone is now known as Beverzone and should be possible to take. Thank you for the report.

The zone 'Varvikzone' in Overijssel, The Netherlands is a false one. Satellite image shows a green field, but there is a building being constructed now. Big fence around it now.

Also, i've found the zone 'Mondrian' in Overijssel, The Netherlands surrounded by a fence. Private terrain.

Hopefully fixed, new name is NoordStraat.
