Germany

Postby Mooseking » 30 Jul 2012, 17:00

Hello,
I just returned back home to Germany after spending my vacation in Malmö (which is my original home town). During this time I learned about Turf and took some zones, but for obvious reasons it will be hard for me to keep playing - there are no zones in Germany. I would love to help introducing it in Düsseldorf where I live, I have already suggested some zones. Is there any plans on expanding it? (I see there is a zone in Berlin)

+1 For this. I'd like some zones in Hamburg! I'm there some times per year and it would be fun taking over zones there :)

Interesting thought, we do not know wich country we will take next though.

A name-list of people who want turf in their country can be beneficial for you. We dont want to fall into the trap that we did in the netherlands, were we have loads of zones but no activity:)

Yeah I really think you should choose Germany as the next country, I mean in Hamburg (which is one of the big cities in Germany) they are very sporty, I always see a lot of people running in the parks and on the streets. Zones in Hamburg will be swell! There's a lot of great parks there!

So with right "marketing" it can be big :)

Btw, I can help with some zones if you want help :)

I'm pretty sure we can get it going quickly if we just introduce it to the geocaching-community which ist very very big here in Germany.
If you want to try and start small and see if it spreads then just create some Zones in key Cities.
Our City of Heidelberg is a student town much like Lund or Uppsala, area is small, population dense, many international citizens. Since I can't really test it here in Germany, could you tell me if there is any ad/sponsor program? I in a way have a tap into the outdoor-community here and could probably put flyers/posters in 4 different Outdoor-Shops here.

Zones in Germany would be great. Please give us some in Hannover. There is huge potential all over the country!

Why not add some zones at the larger airports in Germany, like it is in Sweden? Berlin, Bonn, Hamburg, München etc.
