Capital Ring

Post by ElPav »

Capital Ring is a 125 km circular walking route in London. It takes in many parks and green spaces.

Some parts of it already have few zones, but there are many gaps to fill, so below are few suggestions covering the sections from Highgate, going clockwise.

Around Highgate there are already existing zones on the Capital Ring, between zones and MuttonBrook and CrouchEnd. Few more zones could be added between zone CrouchEnd and Finchley Park, as in

From Finsbury Park along New River Path

either side of East reservoir

and

then West Reservoir
https://www.google.com/maps/place/51°34 ... -0.0933916
and to the zone CastleClimb.

Through Clissold Park where we already have a zone, to Abney Park

The next green space is Springfield Park
https://www.google.com/maps/place/51%C2 ... -0.0617047
and next into Lee Valey Park
https://www.google.com/maps/place/51%C2 ... -0.0511523
then North Milfields
https://www.google.com/maps/place/51%C2 ... -0.0496456
via existing zone MilfieldsBr to HackneyMarshes, connecting the route to the Olympic village.

All the Lee Valey green spaces could do with a sprinkling of zones, as they are full of nice cycling/walking routes.

This is great suggestion. Also Beckton, North Woolwich and Woolwich Arsenal don’t have to many zones. All are part of few walking routes including capital ring.

I agree, this is a great suggestion. New zones on the southern half will go live tomorrow. The northern half will be worked on in the, hopefully, not too distant future.

Cheers,
