Suggestion for new zone in Elgin

Post by kcal »

... thanks for the FairyPark zone. Plenty of memories of playing there when it was just built!

And following a couple of articles regarding local history, can I suggest "HangmansFord" on the River Lossie. Ideally the zone would be an oblong that would straddle the paths on both sides of the Lossie - just past the house at the bottom of the hill.

Copied the Google pin - 57.648798821804675, -3.3253402519906103 - hope that is sufficient (writing this on desktop rather than iPhone).

Story behind the zone - https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=n86 ... rd&f=false

I had a look at this - it’s pretty hard to tell from the map what would work and it is pretty dense fro zones already. Can you put a suggestion on and I’ll look see if it can work?

Will do -- I'm not up on zone suggestions @kjtindall but I'll try.
It makes a nice zone take route either on Ladyhill or round Morriston playing fields.

I've added through the app, along with some others around.

There is a lot of foliage cover on google maps which makes it hard to really tell - detailed OS map might help.

I'll add the suggestions with co-ordinates once I work out how.

HangmansFord - 57.648724, -3.325573 if it can straddle the paths on both sides of the River Lossie that'd be great.

Also:
EightAcres - 57.649468, -3.349265 - back of the hotel, adjoining woodland.
PalmersCross - 57.638367, -3.337448 (I know there's a zone with that name already, this is by Palmers Cross big house) -
LinkyBurn - 57.630027, -3.300669 - by the Linkwood Burn.

Hope those help.

hi -- looks like the zone popped through as proposed in the end, thanks!

Is it possible - to finesse the zone area bit - so that it straddles the paths on both sides of the river Lossie ?

I'll see if I can show what I mean -- Image

cheers!
