Narvik Mountain Zones

Post by Tempest »

Hello!

I think it's about time Narvik gets some more zones on their mountain since it's a great touristic destination for both winter and summer. :)
A zone up on Övre fjellhesstasjon Narvik, along with the peak of Linken would be a couple of perfect zones with great views.

See attachments.

Best wishes,
Axel

I can only agree. I made a post in the Nordnorge section, and some of the zones seems to have been realized, but still the mountain zones are missing. Fjellheistoppen is probably Narviks most scenic and accessible spot and should definitely get a zone, and I agree that Linken should too. The next step is Tredjetoppen, where it almost feels like you’re standing on the top of the world. It’s not very hard to reach from the Fjellheistoppen.
I would also like to recommend Funnhytta which is a popular spot along the hiking trail to Tøttabasen. The trail is well paved with gravel and easy to access. It would be perfect with some more zones along the trail, including Taraldsvik Kraftverk with it’s popular geyser bursting out water two times a day during summertime. This is also the starting point for the trail to Pumpvannet, Funnhytta and Tøttabasen.

For the smaller walk, the trail along the sea between Kvitvikazone and Ornesbay should get some more zones along the route. It’s a popular route used by many, especially the paved part east of Vassvikapier.
