Should Scotland be more than one region?

Yes, definitely but what to go for? The historic 12 regions but these were replaced with the current 32 council areas in 1996. I would prefer the latter, more change of winning a medal then.

Sadly the answer is no, as Scotland is still part of the UK. When / If independence the answer wpuld be 32 'kommuns' based on the current split of council areas.

Understand the point about independance...
However England is one country and has 9 regions within it, whilst Wales, Scotland & Northern Ireland are all one region.
