Preston area zones with issues

Post by ogirl »

Hi
We are super grateful for all the zones you have given us including the new ones. Below is a list by zone name of ones that have issues but could be solved by a small move. Hope that is OK
1. CustomsZone - grass/lawn being badly damaged as people cycle across the hard surface. Move south to footway?
2. TurfersMaze- same , perhaps move to near footbridge short distance to NE
3. DodneyGreen- same, move slightly closer to road edge
4. Gilhouse - same- move slightly east to small footway
5. BehindThe Shop- private land/gated road
6. Adelpheight-in fenced area of long term construction- gps rarely allows a take- move slightly W or S onto new wide pavement
7.Finneyfield- despite what google earth shows the paths and fields at that zone are never used in winter, very overgrown etc. Also the house you have to go past has two dogs that bark loudly upseting the other neighbours. Perhaps move to grass circle just north, at end of road
8. PerfectTurf- although this is a right of way the mobile homes have mostly old people and they are getting unhappy about the number of extra visitors especially at night with torches. Long term the hard standing is also the base for another mobile home so will become inaccessible
9.Piers- Southport and 2 in Blackpool- shut for Covid and not sure when they will re-open
10. LythamPark- as above
11. EasyAqua- Danger sinking mud/quicksand- my husband went once, nobody else will visit. Not safe.
12. Lytham Green- as above but not quite so dangerous- bog that is ankle deep at low tide and more dangerous at high tide.
Hopefully they can all be moved and so no zones lost. Thank you

One of your new zones is not possible- they are building a big new road and you cannot get there plus it will soon be buried. Zone called OverSavick on far western side of Preston. Thanks for all the new zones though.

Another of your new zones is not possible (two really but I ignored a CLOSED DANGER sign to get to one)
AFYFTYNINE and SQUIRES are both on a path that is CLOSED and fenced off- there has been a landslip and lots of unstable trees. We should not go there.

Thank you- i think the only bad one now is where I explained they are building a new road- no access at all.
It is a shame the Finneyfield one got moved so far- the turning circle at the end of the very quiet residential road would have been perfect. Same for DodneyGreen- it only needed nudging so that it was easy to take from the road verge and not needing to go out onto the grass as far as the seat..
