Hi there you wonderful zonemakers,
Is there any chance of some new zones in the Chorley area sometime soon? There has been an increase in Turf activity recently, and it is a long time since our last new zone.
There are some big holes in zone coverage:
- one in the south, for which I have made some suggestions
- one in the middle where I am struggling to find any suitable places for zones
- one in the north, near Astley Park, where I have made some suggestions
- one in the SW part of Buckshaw Village where I have also made suggestions.
New zones in Chorley please

Re: New zones in Chorley please
These are my highest priority new zones in the south of Chorley.
1. Butterworth. There is a cycleway on the old road under Yarrow Valley Way. The loop of road is a bus turning circle only (no cars or other vehicles allowed)
2. Eaves Green. There is a path though this bit of woodland
3. Cottage Fields. A great spot for a zone, with 2 tarmac paths through the field.
4. Burgh Lane. This section of the lane is blocked for cars - cycles and pedestrians only.
5. Pilgrim. A new little park and path, an ideal zone site!

Re: New zones in Chorley please
These are my suggestions for the SW part of Buckshaw.
1. The start of a lovely path into the woods, with an information sign claiming this is ancient woodland.
2. A hill, accessible on a path kept open through the building site and also from the path starting at (1). Direct access from zones Central Avanue or Worden Walk is not possible.
3. A little park just crying out for a zone.
4. A strange little path that ends at a fence.
5. Another little park crying out for a zone.
6. There are many green spaces in this estate however they are all surrounded by little fences which make them very unfriendly for turf. However here the fences are broken so it is an opportunity for a zone.

Re: New zones in Chorley please
1. A path between the houses and the wood. There is a fence separating it from the playing field.
2. Now the building work is complete may we have a zone at the playing fields please.
3. A lovely pond which really needs a zone.
4. A good path through the woods.
5. The exit from an underpass for crossing Chancery Road.
6, A little cycle path.
